Love Island 2021: Idris Virgo falls from his chair in an interview with GB News
The reality TV star, who appeared on the 2018 series of the ITV2 reality show, was just finishing a conversation with presenter Guto Harri about his time on the show when disaster struck and he suddenly fell to the ground.
Idris waved his hands frantically in the air to balance himself in the process, but to no avail.
The camera quickly returned to the studio, with Guto laughing: “I don’t know what happened at the end there”.
Moments after the dramatic fall, Idris took to Twitter to comment on the scenes.
“Trust this to happen to me,” he wrote, alongside crying and laughing emojis.
If you don’t laugh, you cry, right? At least that blunder could help boost GB News’s audience figures.
During his interview, Idris said going to Love Island was a “life-changing” experience.
“I think it’s a great program,” he enthuses. “In a way, it also boosts your self-confidence, to go into the villa and know that you are being filmed 24/7, meeting fantastic people, obviously the sun too.”
He added: “It was just fantastic and I wish I could do it again to be honest.”
The all-new Love Island series is set to launch Monday night with 11 new singletons direction the Mallorcan villa, which has been revamped.
The new episode will welcome its first disabled candidate in Hugo Hammond, as well as a former glamorous model and civil servant.
