Love Island: Georgia Townend reveals never-before-seen scenes and rules-breaking freebies
Island of love may have ended in August, but island Georgia Townend has now turned all rumors about what viewers haven’t been able to see from this season.
Georgia was brought in like a bomb and, much to the dismay of many fans, only lasted 48 hours in the villa, before being sent to pack her bags.
But she has provided excellent, light relief to viewers since her release, after many felt she had been “deprived” of a longer stay on the show.
Now Georgia has spoken to Metro.co.uk on some of the secrets of the villa, as well as the revealing of scenes that weren’t released.
She said: “Obviously not knowing the time is always very strange.
“The night we walked in, we walked in around half past three in the morning and so about half an hour after we got there and we did the introductions and stuff, the other guys were like, ‘Oh, I’m hungry, j am going to make food?
“They were having yogurt and fruit, and we were laughing because it was about four in the morning, it’s funny.”
She came in alongside Tyler Cruikshank and Abigail Rawlings, both of whom managed to stay closer to the end of the competition.
Georgia then revealed more behind the scenes, explaining why Islanders are never really seen eating.
The former islander continued, “You have your food on folding tables, nothing is filmed because that’s when your mics are changed.
“This is never shown because obviously swallowing food is just not very pleasant to watch, but also when your microphone is changed it means that some people’s dialogue is not being picked up.”
She also added: “Actually I was in a challenge but it wasn’t broadcast so obviously there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes than what’s shown because they have to condense it. in just an hour of entertainment a day, but that’s obviously a 24-36 hour period that he actually covers.
Georgia says the contestants all keep in regular contact through the creation of a great group chat and detailed the adorable reason she caught up with most of them via text message this week.
She said: “I must have sent a message to many of them this morning because before entering the villa I had made these little gift boxes that I wanted to take away.
“In the end, I couldn’t accept them because they included elements that violated some of the brand’s partnerships.
“Anyway, I picked them up from ITV, so I was just asking them for their addresses so that I could send them to them so they wouldn’t go to waste.
She concluded: “We are always in touch with each other and we encourage each other on the sidelines – I think that’s really important.”
