A virtual open house will soon be held to discuss plans for a new mixed-use open space neighborhood above the rail corridor between Bathurst Street and Blue Jays Way.

Discussions about the future of this corridor have taken place over the past year between the city and the project team, which includes SvN Architects + Planners, Sweeny&Co and McMillan Associates Architects, the original design architect of Rail Deck Park .

The ongoing community engagement program for this project, Rail Deck Reset, reflects how the project team, the City of Toronto and the public will together explore the full potential of the upcoming neighborhood.

An important first step for community engagement, this open house will provide updates on the status of this project and its planning, introduce new members of the project team, and clarify next steps, including opportunities for public comment.

A rezoning application will be prepared for the City of Toronto this spring, to allow for a more focused dialogue with the city and the community. Shortly after this submission, the project team will hold additional meetings to provide opportunities for feedback, as well as to share and refine plans for Toronto’s future Rail Deck District.

The virtual open house will take place on Wednesday, February 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Participants can register on the Rail Deck Reset website.
